Located in Ottawa, It’s a Bree’s Weddings & Events is a small, up-and-coming event company, servicing: weddings, corporate, team building, and social events. Currently, searching for a reliable, fun and hard working person to join the It's a Bree's Team with Fall 2021 Contracts for an Event Assistant and Event Set-up & Tear Down Team, to support the Event Manager completing tasks at booked weddings & events, with option to renew contract for May - October 2022.
Event Assistant for Set-up & Tear Down Team Job Description
Working with the Event Manager or Event Assistant, the Event Set-up & Tear Down Team helps set-up & tear down of elements & décor based on client requirement at booked events.
This position includes, but is not limited to, the following:
• Assist Event Manager or Event Assistant with event set-up of item like chairs/tables/linen, centerpieces, candles, table numbers, place cards, any additional table décor for gift, card & favour, cake & guestbook, plus, all signage
• Be mindful of clients & guests and always provide helpful, high-quality guest experience while on-site at event
• Attend and participate in event prep & team meetings, as scheduled
• Requires strong attention to detail, multi-tasking, working on a limited time deadlines, follow & complete assign tasks in a group or independently
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Passion for wedding & event planning with previous customer service experience is a must! Previous event planning, decorating, or merchandising experience is an asset, not required. Students welcome!
The successful Event Assistant will be creative, work quickly and efficiently is a short time frame, strong customer service skills, and driven to deliver the best wedding or event for the client and their guests.
Bilingualism is an asset.
Wages & Schedule
This is a contract position, hourly position, based on booked events for Fall 2021.
This position offers a competitive wage at $20.00 per hour.
Schedule will depend on current and future booked events and will update as new contracts are signed, with as much notice as possible. Hours per day can range from 4-16 hours, depending on event booking. A meal will be provided if on-site for 6 or more continuous hours.
A valid driver’s license and use of personal vehicle to transport yourself to scheduled event location.
